Webinar on "COVID-19 and the Kidney"

10th webinar organized on 8 June by the “COVID-19 Clinical Management Support System” on “COVID-19 and the Kidney” in collaboration with ERKNet 


Three experts will hold the seminar, which will take place on 8 June from 16.00 to 17.00 (CET). The purpose of the webinar is to provide an overview of how the Covid-19 is affecting the kidney in patients affected by rare diseases.

The webinar will be held by Dr. Franz Schaefer, Professor of Paediatrics and Chief of the Paediatric Nephrology Division at Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany, by Dr. Tobias B. Huber, Chairman of the Center of Internal Medicine, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany and by Dr. Matko Marlais, Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, London in the UK. Attendees will then be able to ask questions to the speakers. The webinar will be recorded and available for off line vision afterwards.

In the context of the “COVID-19 Clinical Management Support System” launched by the European Commission, DG SANTE organises a series of webinars to support clinicians and other healthcare professionals at the frontline of the care of COVID-19 patients. These webinars will bring the expertise and recommendations of several experts from the 24 ERNs in the management of challenging cases of patients suffering at the same time of COVID-19 and a rare or complex disease or conditions.
