Description

The Department of Nephrology and Hypertension is one of the largest centers for rare kidney diseases in adults in Germany. We offer a wide variety of consulting services in glomerulonephritis, cystic kidney diseases and hypertension. We provide the full spectrum of acute renal replacement therapies with more than 4000 inpatient treatments per year. Our research activities include clinical and experimental research in on rare diseases that affect primary the kidney as well as rare diseases with following renal complications. We leads studies in kidney transplantation, transitional medicine, aHUS, hypertensive diseases and investigator and industry driven clinical trials.
