Project Title:

Predicting responsiveness to steroid therapy in nephrotic syndrome (PRESTINS)

Project Type:

Translational research

Disease group(s):

Immune glomerulopathies

Project Summary:

The objective of this study is to establish and to validate a urinary proteome pattern that is able to predict whether standard steroid therapy will succeed to induce remission in a child with the first episode of nephrotic syndrome. This pattern could become a reliable non-invasive test that is urgently needed to reduce unnecessary exposure to high dose steroids in children.
