Dr. Sebastian Baatz is junior clinical expert in the adult Nephrology Division at Medical clinic III, Division of nephrology at University Hospital of Leipzig and in the Division of Nephrology at the Hospital of Altenburg.
He is a clinician scientist who is an affiliated member of the research group of Prof. Jan Halbritter since his medical thesis.
Special interests are patients with polycystic kidney disease (PKD), familial glomerulopathies (e.g. Alport Syndrome, genetic FSGS, complement related disorders), as well as familial kidney stone disorders, nephrocalcinosis, and rare tubulopathies (incl. ADTKD).
